Looks very good

I like how you can change control of the others.

Thank you. One of the next big hurdles is working on the AI for the group. They should usually travel together, but you'll have different formation options ultimately.

I haven't looked at that, so no, but I'll definitely check it out.

Please let me know how you like it.

We had to buy a 3rd party one for Unity, when we built the mushroom game. It allowed us to do all the idle animations of the mushrooms, ghosts etc.

Mat W keeps pointing to us moving to Unreal for our next game.

Excellent preview Neal. I like kind of spooky-mysteryous atmosohere of the game. The concept of upgrading skills which unlocks new potential in game engine - it could be also addes. So far - very good. I think that now - you will be able to make some things that were impossible before due to tech limitations. All the best from Dublin.

ps. Let's make one game about Dublin together ;)

Thank you! Yes, the first level here is a tiny bit spooky, but the vibe will be all over the map through the course of the game. Like Star Trek (which was the major inspiration of the original game), there were all kinds of different worlds and storylines, so you'll experience different feels as you travel from world to world. And yes, the tech is so much more powerful than we had back in the day. Skill trees will be very much in the mix for this reboot, and you'll see a little more differentiation in how the game plays between the four main characters. And I love the idea of doing something in Dublin. One of my favorite cities in the world. Who knows, maybe they'll land on a planet that looks like a replica of 19th century Dublin. It could happen!

One of the things I loved the most about Planet's edge was the variety in the worlds and discovering them all and the stories behind them. It was all very creative given the limitations of computer graphics at the time. It's very exciting to see what you will come up with new tools available and in 3d. It is cool to see the references to the original as well!

I am so excited for this. I actually just turned around to the big box of Planet's Edge I have behind me and grinned like a moron haha. And when I heard you say William I did squeal.

Can't wait to bring back William Osai Nelson and Katya. flails arms

The light ray interaction looks so good and I immediately spotted the checker board. This is gonna be so AMAZING!!!!

Thank you Neal. Maybe that game about Dublin in XIX century is not that far ;) But, now you have sparked idea or two.... I will keep you posted because I would like to have you as consultant and part of the project if something happen. I have some Irish friends here and they are quite capable lads :)

I will let you know then if we can discuss some cooperation. Frankly, your counselling in game design is worth in gold. But, if we manage to get some funding.... It is worth doing. But, I like the works of Don Lawrence comic books. Now, imagine potential of that IP. Some IP's are Gold if you know what I mean. If also touchef through Art or Enriched Story.
